Zenith Virtuosi at Drake is a young artist festival which will run for five consecutive Sundays starting January 26th and culminating with a public concert on February 23rd at 4pm.
All festival activities will take place on the Drake University campus (Harmon Fine Arts Center). Acceptance to this festival is contingent upon 1) a successful audition and 2) fulfillment of tuition obligations. Tuition for the festival is $175 per participant with a 50% discount for each additional sibling. Your video audition is due October 27, 2024. See directions on how to register and audition below.
The festival is open to any High School aged student currently participating in their school band or orchestra program or who is taking private lessons in the case of home schoolers.
FESTIVAL SCHEDULE
Rehearsals: 1/26, 2/2, 2/9, 2/16 from 3-5pm
Performance: 2/23 at 4pm

Hailed as “a strong leader with a style everyone can follow” and a conductor who can “balance music’s delights with its demands,” Héctor Agüero has earned a reputation as a dedicated music educator and a highly sought-after guest conductor. Agüero is also the Artistic Director of the Laredo Philharmonic and serves as Associate Professor of Music and Director of Orchestral Studies at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.
